When it isn't working

Nobody is calling me back. What do I do?

Put your request in writing again, keep the date, and then call a free advocate.

Silence is common and it is not something you have to solve alone. Advocates for Children of New York does exactly this, at no cost, and they have been doing it in this city for decades.

Do this week

  1. If your request was made by phone, put it in writing this week and keep the copy.
  2. Call 311 and ask to be connected to the CSE office for your district.
  3. If you still have no answer, call Advocates for Children of New York.
